Reinstating APIs
In Xapi, deprecated APIs can be reactivated using the Reinitiate option. This feature is available for both internal and external APIs, allowing users to restore the API to active status if needed. Reinitiating is useful when an API needs to be brought back into active development or usage after being marked as deprecated.
When to Reinstate an API?
You might want to reinstate an API in the following scenarios:
- The API was deprecated by mistake and should be restored.
- Business or project changes require the API to be active again.
- Further modifications or enhancements are needed for the deprecated API.
To reinstate an API:

Click horizontal eclipse on a preferred API.

Select Reinstate API.

In the confirmation pop-up, click Yes, reinstate.
